Job Description
Position Objectives
The Senior Management Accountant supports the Chief Financial Officer by delivering high quality financial management and specialist accounting services as part of a contemporary Finance function. The role ensures the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting, including month-end processes, reconciliations, and adherence to Australian Accounting Standards and ATO requirements.
Together with the Chief Financial Officer, the position oversees the effective management and continuous improvement of the organisation’s finance systems, whilst building financial capability across the organisation by providing clear insights, guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
Working collaboratively with the broader organisation, the role enhances financial accountability, supports data-informed decision-making, and strengthens overall business literacy.
A person employed at this level will be expected to display a demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direction to other staff members within the program/service and at least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role, as well as have:
Relevant Tertiary qualifications in accounting.
CA/CPA or working towards attaining one of these qualifications
A current drivers licence, a willingness to travel and preparedness to be accommodated overnight when required.
